While many fellow 15-year-olds were worried about sitting at the “popular table” at lunchtime, Drew McIntyre was already training to become a WWE Superstar. He didn’t have to wait terribly long to achieve his dream, either, as the endlessly athletic Scotsman skyrocketed from the U.K. independent scene to the big show, WWE, at just age 22. The outlook was so bright for the 6-foot-5 McIntyre that when he first arrived, Mr. McMahon labeled him a “future World Champion.” The Chairman was eventually proven correct, though fulfilling that prophecy did not come easily for McIntyre.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins

They start out with a technical style match and lots of grappling. Ambrose and McIntyre had a staredown at ringside. Ziggler with an uppercut and then a roll up for 2. Ziggler then ducked out of the ring.

Back in the ring, Ziggler caught him with a cheap kick then Seith hit a hip toss and once again, Ziggler rolled out of the ring to regroup. Seth landed a chop to the chest of the champ a few times then went for a suplex but Ziggler blocked it. Seth with a shoulder block but Ziggler kicked the left leg of the challenger and landed a neck breaker for 2. Ziggler with the rake of the eyes then landed some chops as the crowd was quiet. Seth tried a comeback but Ziggler tossed him hard into the corner and to the floor. Back in the ring, Ziggler controlled the pace of the match with a series of headlocks. Moments later, Seth got out of it with a jawbreaker but Ziggler sent him over the top rope to the floor. Back in the ring, Ziggler went to the top rope where Seth caught him and went for a suplex but they both fell over the top rope to the floor.

Back in the ring, Seth with a big boot then the slingblade. Seth with some forearm shots but Ziggler rolled him up for 2. Seth with a big boot then a blockbuster off the middle rope for 2. Seth went to the top rope but Ziggler knocked him down. Seth knocked him down with a headbutt then clotheslines him to the floor and followed up with an outside dive. Seth with a spring board clothesline then a knee strike to the jaw for 2.

Ziggler locked in a sleeper hold but Seth got out of it. Ziggler kicked Seth into the ring post and hit a DDT on the apron. Back in the ring, Ziggler with the Zig Zag but Seth blocked it and hit a superkick then went to the top rope where he went for a frog splash but Ziggler put up his knees and rolled him up for 2. They exchanged right hands then Seth caught Ziggler and put him on the top rope and Seth hit a reversed superplex then the falcon arrow for 2.

Seth went for a superkick but McIntyre sent Ambrose into the steel steps. Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Rollins for 2. Seth was busted open from what appeared to be a cut on his eyebrow. Seth rolled him up for 2 and they exchange pinfalls. Seth with the buckle bomb. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds to Drew on the floor. Seth with a superkick then the curbstomp for the win.

Winner: Rollins
