While many fellow 15-year-olds were worried about sitting at the “popular table” at lunchtime, Drew McIntyre was already training to become a WWE Superstar. He didn’t have to wait terribly long to achieve his dream, either, as the endlessly athletic Scotsman skyrocketed from the U.K. independent scene to the big show, WWE, at just age 22. The outlook was so bright for the 6-foot-5 McIntyre that when he first arrived, Mr. McMahon labeled him a “future World Champion.” The Chairman was eventually proven correct, though fulfilling that prophecy did not come easily for McIntyre.

Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre

We go to the ring and out first comes Matt Hardy. Drew McIntyre is out next.

Drew takes the mic on the way to the ring and says this show has started a little depressing. McIntyre has some positive news. He talks about how Matt Hardy’s wife gave birth to their third son last week. Drew hear the baby is cross-eyed but at least that proves Matt is the father. Drew says all jokes aside, Matt has been successful in the ring but not really outside of it, so maybe it’s not the best thing if he re-produces. Drew says he’s a good guy, so he’s going to give Matt and his family an opportunity – he can walk out of the ring right now, with his tail between his legs to fight another day. Matt suddenly attacks Drew as he’s speaking. Matt unloads and sends Drew to the floor. Matt look on from the ring as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and the bell rings as Matt charges with strikes. Matt unloads in the corner but Drew misses the bulldog. Matt clotheslines Drew over the top rope to the floor. Drew blocks a Twist of Fate on the floor, and shoves Matt into the steel ring steps. Drew brings Matt back into the ring. Drew works Matt over but runs into the ring post as he charges in the corner.

Matt comes right back with a Side Effect on Drew for a close 2 count. Matt calls for the “Delete!” chant but Drew blocks the Twist of Fate once again. Drew slides out of a pin and hits the FutureShock DDT out of nowhere. Drew hits the corner and waits for Matt to get up now. Drew delivers the Claymore Kick for the pin to win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre vs. Akira Tozawa

We go back to the ring and out comes Drew McIntyre. Akira Tozawa is out next.

The bell rings and they meet in the middle of the ring for some trash talking. Drew shoves Tozawa back. They go at it and Drew overpowers Tozawa for the first takedown. Drew taunts Tozawa by dropping to his knees and threatening Tozawa to leave now or take a beating. Tozawa goes to leave and turns to nail a basement dropkick. Drew gets sent to the floor and Tozawa hits a suicide dive. Drew quickly turns it back around on the floor. Drew with a big inverted Alabama Slam on the floor.

Drew brings it back into the ring and keeps Tozawa grounded in the middle. Drew with a big chop to the chest now. Drew tosses Tozawa with a big overhead suplex. Drew manhandles Tozawa some more and keeps him grounded. Tozawa fights up but gets rocked. Tozawa ends up mounting some offense and taking Drew down with a missile dropkick from the top.

They tangle and Tozawa goes for the inverted hurricanrana. More back and forth and a 2 count for Tozawa. Drew nails a Claymore Kick out of nowhere for the pin to win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew stands tall as his music hits. We go to replays. Drew says that was fun, wasn’t it? He talks about how a problem with today is people going to social media to complain. Drew says the WWE locker room likes to be cryptic about it because they’re cowards. Drew says he’s going to be straight with his issues. He names Randy Orton and calls Orton to the ring so they can talk about it. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Drew McIntyre is still in the ring waiting for Randy Orton. We see the chop battle that happened between the two last week. Drew says he can describe what he just saw in 3 words – Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Drew calls Orton out again and this time the music hits. Orton makes his way to the ring.

Orton hits the ring and turns his back on Drew, which angers him. Drew says here’s his problem with Orton – he walks around here like he owns the place, no respect for anyone or the rules, and he always has. Drew gets it, he’s Randy Orton, a future WWE Hall of Famer, but that doesn’t give him the right to speak to Drew like a child. Drew says he was the most ferocious WWE Superstar in the past, but in 2019 he’s only ferocious at posting on social media. Drew says he is the most ferocious in WWE now, bigger and stronger than Orton. Drew goes on about how he and the Claymore Kick are happening now, while Orton and the RKO are old news. Orton says he does how he wants because he’s earned the right. He says Drew hasn’t earned a damn thing. Orton thinks they are cool but if Drew thinks they have a problem, let’s fix it right now. They face off and talk trash to each other. The music interrupts and out comes The OC – Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and AJ Styles.

AJ takes the mic and just says Orton’s name. AJ is so upset he can’t talk. Gallows and Anderson go on about how Orton ruined AJ’s life by causing him to lose the WWE United States Title to Rey Mysterio. AJ doesn’t care what kind of match it is, he just wants to get his hands on Orton tonight. Drew backs out of this fight and heads to the stage. Orton readies for a fight in the ring as The OC surrounds him.

AJ takes the mic and taunts Humberto. He also has words for Ricochet. Ricochet takes the mic and asks if this is what the great AJ Styles has become. Ricochet then challenges AJ but AJ says he signed a contract to defend against Humberto, not Ricochet, and Humberto just got carried out. AJ denies Ricochet. The music hits and out comes Randy Orton to a pop. Orton says Humberto can’t compete but he can, plus the people of Chicago would love to see me RKO AJ’s ass through the mat. Orton challenges AJ to put the title on the line. Fans chant “RKO!” now. AJ reminds Orton last time they faced it was WrestleMania and he won. AJ says he has nothing to prove against two guys he’s already defeated. The music interrupts and out comes Drew McIntyre now.

McIntyre says he might have a solution. He knows a guy who AJ’s never faced, a guy who’s never had a singles title shot. Drew says he’s tall, handsome and has a sexy accent. Drew goes on about his success at Survivor Series, including the pin on WWE UK Champion WALTER. Drew says Chicago doesn’t deserve this match, but how about Drew vs. AJ for the title, for the first time ever. AJ says he’s a little sore after stealing the show at Survivor Series. The music hits again and out comes Rey Mysterio. Rey talks about how he faced WWE Champion Brock Lesnar last night and AJ is just making excuses. Rey goes on and says he’s not going to let AJ cheat Chicago out of a title match, so let’s just make it Rey vs. AJ. AJ goes on about how they haven’t earned anything. He turns them down because they’re all just entitled. Ricochet proposes a Fatal 4 Way with the winner challenging AJ later tonight. Drew prefers his idea. AJ says Ricochet’s idea is dumb. Gallows and Anderson disagree with AJ that it’s a bad idea. AJ tells them to go ahead and beat the crap out of each other, he will pick the bones. We go to commercial.

#1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way: Ricochet vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio

The bell rings and Ricochet fights off Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton as the bell rings. The winner will become the new #1 contender to WWE United States Champion AJ Styles. Drew McIntyre gets involved but ends up dumped to the floor. Rey and Ricochet go at it back in the ring now. Ricochet and Rey double dropkick Orton back to the floor. Drew ends up catching Ricochet and driving him hard out on the floor. Orton then manhandles Rey and sends him out onto Ricochet. Orton and Drew double team Ricochet in the ring now.

Drew chops Ricochet while Orton holds him. Drew with a big suplex to Ricochet. Orton and Drew continue to double team Ricochet in the corner. Rey comes back in but they shut him down and Drew sends him out to the floor. Orton and Drew go back to working on Ricochet in the corner. Ricochet fights off Drew and unloads in the corner. Orton was also dropped. Ricochet comes off the top on Drew but lands on his feet. Orton levels Ricochet. Rey comes back in and takes out Drew. Orton was also sent to the floor. Rey and Ricochet trade shots in the corner now while Ricochet is on the apron.

Ricochet and Rey go to the top now. Ricochet shoves Rey to the apron. Drew rocks Ricochet and stomps Rey. Drew climbs up for a superplex on Ricochet but Rey rocks him. Ricochet knocks Drew upside down in the corner. Rey pounds on Ricochet while Drew is upside down. Orton comes over and shoves Ricochet from the top to the floor on the outside. Orton climbs up for a superplex on Rey but Drew pulls himself up and sends them both to the mat. All three are down on the mat while Ricochet is down on the floor. The OC comes walking out to the stage as fans boo. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and The OC is at ringside watching now. Drew beats on Ricochet in the ring. Drew slaps Ricochet and talks some trash now. Ricochet fights back and nails a kick to the head. Orton runs in but Ricochet nails kicks to him as well. Ricochet charges but Orton sends him to the apron for the draping DDT. Orton nails it for a 2 count as Drew breaks it up.

Orton and Drew have words in the middle of the ring now. Drew with a big chop to the chest. Orton loses his breath for a few seconds but fires back with a chop of his own. Drew with another huge chop to the chest, much harder and louder than Orton. Orton with a poke to the eyes instead. Orton unloads on Drew into the corner with uppercuts. Drew with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt out of nowhere to drop Orton. Ricochet flies in to take Drew down, then hits a standing Shooting Star Press. Ricochet kicks Rey back out with a dropkick. Ricochet counters Drew for an inverted hurricanrana but it’s blocked. Ricochet blocks the Alabama Slam for a roll-up and a 2 count.

Drew counters Ricochet with another slam. Drew with a big sitdown powerbomb for another close 2 count on Ricochet. Drew waits for Ricochet to get up now. Drew goes for a Claymore but Orton runs in with a big RKO. Drew kicks out at 2 as The OC pulls Orton out and sends him into the barrier, Gallows and Anderson. Rey flies in the ring but Ricochet catches him. They tangle. Ricochet catches a moonsault but Rey turns it into a roll-up for the pin to become #1 contender.

Winner and New #1 Contender to AJ Styles: Rey Mysterio

After the match, The OC watches from ringside as Rey stands tall to his music. AJ likes the result of the match as we go to replays. AJ applauds, laughs and points at Rey as we go back to commercial.

Men’s Survivor Series Triple Threat Elimination Match: Team RAW (Captain Seth Rollins, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton) vs. Team SmackDown (Captain Roman Reigns, King Baron Corbin, Shorty G, Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman) vs. Team NXT (Captain Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Damian Priest, WWE UK Champion WALTER)

We go back to ringside with Vic, Nigel and Graves. Out first comes Team RAW – Captain Seth Rollins, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Team SmackDown is out next – Captain Roman Reigns, King Baron Corbin, Shorty G, Mustafa Ali, and Braun Strowman. Out last comes Team NXT – Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Damian Priest, and WWE UK Champion WALTER.

The bell rings and fans start chanting loudly for WALTER. Ciampa starts off with Rollins and Strowman. They size each other up. Rollins attacks Braun and gets dropped. Braun also knocks Ciampa back. Ciampa and Rollins double team Strowman. Strowman gets rocked but he hits a big double dropkick. Strowman stands tall and yells out for a pop. Drew and WALTER tag in to face off with Braun. The crowd pops and chants for the Imperium leader.

WALTER and Drew double team Braun into the corner, unloading on him. Drew and WALTER beat Braun down to the mat. Drew hits WALTER but WALTER eats it. WALTER and Drew go at it now, trading huge chops as the fans go along with them. Drew rocks WALTER but WALTER levels him with a big boot. WALTER with a big seated senton on Drew. WALTER stands tall. Strowman with a big shot to drop WALTER. WALTER with big German suplexes for Drew, then Braun but Braun blocks it. Braun takes a shot but WALTER keeps bringing it. WALTER dropkicks Strowman down. Drew with a big Claymore Kick out of nowhere to WALTER for the pin. WALTER has been eliminated.

Fans boo WALTER’s elimination. Corbin laughs at WALTER. Fans chant “bullshit!” at the elimination. Priest comes in and goes at it with Drew. Braun misses in the corner and hits the ring post. G tags in and hits Priest with a moonsault. Ricochet tags in and flies but misses G. Ricochet and G go at it with offense and counters. G with a huge German on Ricochet, dropping him on his head. Riddle tags in and faces off with G. Ricochet is down in the corner still. G and Riddle wrestle to the mat with counters.

G and Riddle trade ankle locks. More back and forth now. Ciampa tags in and goes to work on G. Ricochet takes G and Ciampa down with a back springboard kick. Owens tags in and goes to the top. Owens sees Riddle and G both down. He looks at both to decide who he hits. Owens hits a Frogsplash on G for the pin. G has been eliminated.

Owens and Riddle stare each other down. Reigns and Corbin have words over who comes in. Owens drops Reigns with a cheap superkick while he argues with Corbin. Corbin eats a superkick from Owens on the floor. Owens with a cannonball on Reigns into the barrier. Owens drops Corbin on the floor with a Stunner. Owens brings it in but Ciampa hits the second rope draping DDT on Ciampa for the pin. Owens has been eliminated.

Orton sneaks up behind Ciampa now. Orton stares Ciampa down for using the DDT. Fans chant for the RKO as the two stare each other down. Ciampa blocks the RKO. Ciampa sends Orton to the floor. Ciampa goes for the draping DDT on Orton but it’s blocked. Orton drops Ciampa on the outside. Orton slams Ciampa back-first on the apron. Orton poses in the ring for a big pop. Orton goes to stomping on Ciampa’s limbs now. Ciampa blocks and kicks Orton. Priest tags in right as Orton drops Ciampa with the RKO. Orton blocks the Reckoning from Priest and hits Priest with the RKO for the pin. Priest has been eliminated.

Orton blocks a knee from Riddle. Riddle rolls Orton up for the pin. Orton has been eliminated and everyone is shocked. Orton hits Riddle with the RKO on his way out of the ring. Corbin runs in and steals the pin. Riddle has been eliminated.

Lee and Strowman face off in the ring. Drew flies and drops Lee. Drew drops Reigns off the apron. Drew turns around to Strowman decking him. Strowman runs around the ring, knocking Ciampa over the barrier, then Ricochet over the steps. Strowman signals for another run around the ring. This time he goes past Rollins and collides with Lee in mid-air as Lee jumped for a crossbody. The referee counts while Lee, Strowman and Drew are down on the outside. Drew with a Claymore Kick to Braun. Drew and Lee break the count but Strowman does not. Strowman has been eliminated by count out. Fans boo.

Ricochet unloads on Corbin in the ring now. Ricochet with a 530 to take Ali out. Ricochet unloads with more strikes on Corbin. Ricochet runs and leaps out, taking Reigns down on the floor. Ricochet goes back to the top but has to land on his feet as Lee moves. Corbin catches Ricochet with End of Days for the pin. Ricochet has been eliminated.

It’s own to Rollins and Drew vs. Ciampa and Lee vs. Strowman and Ali and Reigns. Ali comes n and drops Ciampa, then goes to work on Rollins. Ali gets a big hometown pop as he keeps going, sending Ciampa back to the floor. Rollins runs into an uppercut from Ali. Ali with the big tornado DDT on Rollins. Ali runs and hits a dive on Ciampa and Corbin at the announce tables. Ali sends Ciampa into the ring post and kicks him down. Corbin stops Ali from entering and they argue over Corbin not getting to shine it appears. Ali hits Corbin and goes in the ring but Rollins hits him with a Stomp for the pin. Ali has been eliminated. Fans boo.

Each team has 2 members left. Drew takes out Reigns at ringside, then brings Ciampa in. Ciampa rocks Drew with an elbow. Drew with a huge Alabama Slam on Ciampa in the middle of the ring for a close 2 count. Drew is frustrated now. Drew waits to hit the Claymore on Ciampa but Reigns intercepts with a big Spear. Reigns pins Drew. Drew has been eliminated.

Rollins comes from behind and rolls Reigns for a 2 count. Rollins drops with a kick. Reigns rolls to the floor. Rollins runs for a dive but Reigns rocks him at the ropes. Reigns with a Drive By on Rollins. Ciampa with the draping DDT to Reigns. Ciampa goes for Fairytale Ending but Reigns blocks it. Reigns with a big Superman Punch as he goes down with Ciampa. It’s Rollins vs. Reigns and Corbin vs. Lee and Ciampa now. Corbin runs in to knock Lee off the apron after yelling at Reigns to get up. Corbin drags Reigns over and tags in.

Corbin talks some trash to Reigns. Corbin grabs Ciampa but it’s blocked. Reigns rocks Corbin with a Superman Punch and then hits a Spear on him, his own partner. Ciampa is confused. Ciampa pins Corbin and Corbin has been eliminated.

Lee is down on the outside still. Ciampa, Reigns and Rollins face off in the ring. They all three start brawling. Lee comes in to help Ciampa. Rollins and Reigns double team Lee until he’s down. Rollins tosses Ciampa to the floor. Rollins and Reigns face off in the middle of the ring now. Reigns and Rollins go out to tear apart the announce table now. Ciampa fights as Reigns and Rollins look to double team him. Reigns and Rollins go to put Ciampa through the announce table with a powerbomb but Lee runs over to make the save. Lee looks to powerbomb Reigns into the table but Reigns rams him into the post.

Ciampa rocks Rollins in the ring now. Ciampa with Project Ciampa for a close 2 count on Rollins. Everyone is shocked. Ciampa goes for another Fairytale Ending but Rollins counters. Rollins with superkicks. Ciampa dodges the Stomp. More back and forth between the two. Ciampa with a big knee to the face. Reigns stops Ciampa from hitting the Fairytale Ending with a big Superman Punch. This leads to Rollins pinning Ciampa. Ciampa has been eliminated.

It’s down to Lee, Reigns and Rollins now. Lee walks back into the ring as fans chant for him. Reigns and Rollins wait for the fight. Lee drops Rollins first and then Reigns. Lee keeps control and keeps fighting. Lee launches himself over the top from the apron, taking both down with a big crossbody. Lee stands tall for a big pop. Lee lifts Rollins but he slides out and hits an enziguri, then a superkick. Rollins goes to the top as fans boo him. Rollins with a Frogsplash to Lee but Lee kicks out at 2. Fans chant for “NXT!” now. Rollins can’t believe the kick out. Fans boo Rollins as he talks trash. Rollins cranks up but Lee catches him with a huge powerslam Jackhammer for the pin. Lee has eliminated Rollins.

Lee stands tall and looks over at Reigns, who is still down on the outside. Fans start the chants for Lee as Reigns looks around and slowly enters the ring. Reigns and Lee stare each other down. Lee attacks but misses after connecting. Reigns with a Superman Punch and second. Reigns quickly covers but Lee kicks out just in time. Some think it was a 3 count. Graves says Lee didn’t kick out. Reigns waits in the corner and hulks up as Lee gets up. Reigns goes for a Spear but Lee catches him in mid-move with a powerbomb. Reigns barely kicks out and the crowd goes wild.

Lee goes to the second rope for a moonsault but Reigns moves. Reigns follows up with a Spear for the pin to win for Team SmackDown.

Winners: Team SmackDown (Roman Reigns)

WWE NXT Results – November 20th, 2019

After the match, Cole stands on top of the ladder and celebrates with the briefcase as The Undisputed Era’s music hits. We go to replays. Cole stands tall in the middle of the ring with the title and the briefcase as the referee raises his arm in victory. Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly come walking down the ramp as Cole looks on. A group of SmackDown Superstars, including Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, appear on the ramp to block The Undisputed Era. RAW Superstars come from behind to block them on the stage, including The Street Profits, The Viking Raiders, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. A big brawl breaks out on the ramp. The fight stops and the two main roster teams attack each other now. More NXT Superstars run down as the arena fills up with Superstars brawling. Drew McIntyre appears in the ring as Dijakovic recovers. Dijakovic gets up and turns around to a big Claymore Kick from Drew. Keith Lee enters the ring as Drew turns around. Lee lifts Drew and drops him with a big sitdown powerbomb. Ivar enters the ring and tares Lee down now. Fans chant for them both. Ivar and Lee run the ropes at the same time and leap out, both taking down the huge group of NXT, RAW and SmackDown Superstars at once. Fans chant for NXT. Cole is the only one standing alone in the ring now, standing tall and looking out at the chaos. Seth Rollins suddenly appears in the ring to a huge pop. Some fans pop for Rollins and some boo now. Cole turns around to a big superkick from Rollins. Some fans chant “burn it down!” now. The music interrupts and out comes Tommaso Ciampa to a big pop. Ciampa walks through the chaos as Rollins stares him down. Fans chant “Daddy’s home!” as Ciampa walks down. Ciampa stops and drops Cole again while staring at Rollins. Ciampa enters the ring with Rollins now. Fans continue their “Seth’s not cool!” chant as Ciampa and Rollins size each other up. Ciampa and Rollins start unloading on each other now. NXT goes off the air as other Superstars hit the ring and the brawl continues.
