Drew McIntyre says Hell in a Cell was the most violent match of his career. He succumbed to blood loss. McIntyre could have been on Raw after Bad Blood, but he had to go back to Scotland. His family needed him. 2024 should have been his year, but he got screwed time and time again. While he was in Scotland, he wondered if people were right. Then he turned on Survivor Series and saw Roman Reigns standing side by side with CM Punk, along with Sami Zayn, Jimmy, and Jey Uso. They all went back for nothing. At least Punk took a bribe. That’s when he knew he had to come back and take out Sami and Jey. McIntyre cannot change the past but can and will change the present and future.
Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring wearing Jey Uso’s “YEET” shirt. Last week, Zayn accused Rollins of attacking Jey Uso, but it was revealed to be Drew McIntyre. Rollins warns Zayn if he is out there to defend Punk, they’ll start fighting. Zayn says they were both angry last week and fought in the ring. That’s bound to happen every now and then when you’ve known each other as long as they did. Zayn says it was wrong of him to assume Rollins attacked Jey Uso backstage. Zayn apologizes.
Rollins thinks about it and says he’s glad Zayn brought that up. They’ve been friends for twenty years. Their kids play together. When Jey went down, Rollins was the first person to come to his mind. Why? Zayn says Rollins was out of his mind when he was talking last week. That wasn’t the Rollins that Zayn knows. Rollins was talking like he was Drew McIntyre. Rollins is not happy about that. Rollins says, “I am not Drew McIntyre.” Zayn says Rollins is better than McIntyre. This thing with Punk brings out the worst in Rollins. Zayn knows he shouldn’t have gotten involved with Rollins and Punk. He’s here to let Rollins know that it’s his business and he can deal with it however he wants. Rollins says that’s all he wanted. Zayn asks if they’re good. Rollins thinks about it. A light “Hug it out” chant picks up. Rollins says, “Yeah, Sami, we’re good, man.” Rollins says he appreciates Zayn letting him handle his business with Punk. Zayn has business with McIntyre that he needs to handle.
Rollins leaves Zayn in the ring. Zayn says that’s pretty good advice. Zayn is going to handle business with McIntyre. Zayn isn’t going to listen to McIntyre complain about how he’s a martyr. This will end as quickly as it started. Zayn already spoke to Adam Pearce. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Sami Zayn will be taking on Drew McIntyre.
Zayn leaves the ring and heads up the ramp. Drew McIntyre blindsides Zayn and punches away at him. WWE officials quickly break it up and pull McIntyre off Zayn.
