While many fellow 15-year-olds were worried about sitting at the “popular table” at lunchtime, Drew McIntyre was already training to become a WWE Superstar. He didn’t have to wait terribly long to achieve his dream, either, as the endlessly athletic Scotsman skyrocketed from the U.K. independent scene to the big show, WWE, at just age 22. The outlook was so bright for the 6-foot-5 McIntyre that when he first arrived, Mr. McMahon labeled him a “future World Champion.” The Chairman was eventually proven correct, though fulfilling that prophecy did not come easily for McIntyre.

Reigns waits in the ring but the music hits and out comes McMahon. Shane stops on the stage and has Mike Rome give him his “Best In the World” introduction.

Shane says he can’t wait to shut Reigns up on Friday. Shane says he’s not just called the best in the world, he is the best when he gets in the ring. Shane goes on about how he gets better with age and how he will beat Reigns from corner to corner, ending him with a Coast 2 Coast and making him tap out for the first time. Shane says actually that won’t satisfy him because he will keep the Triangle applied after the referee orders him to break it, because he makes his own rules. Reigns tells Shane to shut up and dares him to try and make him tap. Reigns says he will pick Shane’s little spoiled ass up and drive him into the mat. Reigns goes on and brings up Shane relying on Drew McIntyre. Reigns reveals he will face Drew at WWE Stomping Grounds in July.

Drew interrupts and runs Reigns down, saying Shane will beat him on Friday and then he will destroy Reigns at Stomping Grounds. Drew says he doesn’t need his partners tonight because he and Shane will take Reigns out. They head to the ring but The Revival’s Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder attack Reigns from behind. The Usos, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, run out to make the save, clearing the ring. Reigns and The Usos stand in the ring as the heels regroup at ringside.

The match begins with Uso hitting a big superkick on Wilder. Dawson pulls Dash to safety as Uso goes to the top. The Usos join each other in the ring and run the ropes for the double team dive. We go to commercials with The Usos standing tall.

Back from the break and Dash tags in as Uso tries to tag. Jimmy gets the hot tag and unloads on The Revival. Dash slides out of a Samoan Drop but gets dropped with a big kick. Uso drops Drew and Dawson on the apron. Dash drops Jimmy with a big dropkick off the distraction. Drew tags in and unloads on Uso while he’s down. Drew with more offense and a close 2 count. Drew talks trash while keeping Uso down as Shane cheers him on from ringside. Drew keeps control and hits a big overhead throw for a close 2 count as Reigns breaks the pin.

The Revival with cheap shots to Uso while he’s down. Dawson tags back in and keeps the attack going on Jimmy in the middle of the ring. Uso finally lands a suplex and looks to make a tag. Dawson stops the tag with a big Spinebuster for another close 2 count. We go to commercial with Reigns looking on as the heels continue to dominate.

Back from the break and Reigns is waiting to deliver a Superman Punch to Drew. Drew ducks it and hits a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Dawson tags in but Reigns levels Drew with the punch. Dash also takes a Superman Punch on the apron. Reigns ends up going out and grabbing Shane after he interferes. Drew makes the save and drops Reigns on the floor with a Claymore Kick.

Dawson shove Jimmy into the barrier and then hit a Shatter Machine on the floor. McIntyre goes back in and levels Jey with a Claymore for the pin to win.

Winners: The Revival and Drew McIntyre

After the match, Shane hits the ring to stand with Drew and The Revival while Reigns and Jey are down on the mat. Jimmy is still down on the outside. Shane talks trash in Reigns’ face and barks orders for the heels to attack. The Revival hits Reigns with a Shatter Machine. Shane talks more trash to Reigns. Shane holds Reigns up and Drew follows up with a Claymore as fans boo. Shane gets back down in Reigns’ face as Dash mocks him. The Revival and Drew hold Reigns up while Shane backs to the corner, then charges out with a Spear. Shane mocks Reigns in the middle of the ring as the boos continue. Shane stands tall with The Revival and Drew as his music hits.

Charly Caruso is backstage with Shane McMahon, revealing that he will be in action tonight. Shane says he’s ready to beat his opponent, like he will beat Roman Reigns at Super ShowDown. We see Drew McIntyre standing there. Shane walks off with Drew and asks if he’s ready.

Shane McMahon vs. Lance Anoa’i

We go to the ring and out comes Shane McMahon with Drew McIntyre. Shane stops and backs up the ramp to the stage, motioning for Drew to come back to the stage with him. They return to the backstage area and we go to commercial for another awkward moment.

Back from the break and Cole leads us to a video package for Triple H vs. Randy Orton at Super ShowDown. We come back to Shane in the ring with McIntyre. Shane talks about the feud between the McMahons and the Samoans, and how it goes back to respect. Shane says respect was ingrained into him at an early age, but it wasn’t for Roman Reigns, which explains why he could strike Vince McMahon. Shane goes on about the Samoans, naming everyone from Peter Maivia to The Rock to The Wild Samoans and others. Shane says he might know WWE Hall of Famer Afa and Sika better than Reigns. Shane says he’s not going to disparage The Wild Samoans because that’s not in him. Shane says his dad was always there to clean up Afa and Sika’s mistakes. Shane say he’s here to represent the McMahon family and he’s ready to fight. The question is, who from the Samoan dynasty will come down the ramp to face him right now? We take another commercial break.

Back from the break and indie star Lance Anoa’i is in the ring. He is the son of Samu. The bell rings. Lance ends up on the outside as McIntyre rams him into the apron and the barrier back and forth. Shane taunts on the mic from the ring as McIntyre continues destroying Lance on the outside. Shane tells Drew to throw Lance in the ring. He calls for the bell.

The bell rings and Shane goes to work on Reigns’ cousin with strikes. Lance tries to fight out of the corner but Shane turns it back around. Shane with more strikes now. Lance finally nails a big dropkick for a pop. Shane catches a superkick and delivers an elbow to the jaw. Shane works Lance over on the mat now. Shane applies a Triangle submission and Lance taps for the finish.

Winner: Shane McMahon

After the match, Shane takes the mic as Drew enters the ring. Shane barks orders as Drew chops Lance back to the mat. Shane applies the Triangle again while talking trash to Lance about some of his family members. Roman Reigns’ music hits and out he comes. Reigns drops Drew with a Superman Punch at ringside. Shane retreats but Reigns chases and stops him from escaping through the crowd. Reigns with a big Superman Punch to Shane a ringside. They go back in the ring and Reigns looks to deliver a Spear but Drew pulls Shane to safety. Drew and Shane taunt Reigns from the stage while Reigns’ music hits and he checks on his cousin. We go to replays. The camera cuts backstage to McIntyre and Shane running through the backstage area. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Cole talks about Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre running away from Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns vs. Elias

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out comes Shane McMahon. He introduces SmackDown’s greatest talent acquisition and out comes Elias. Elias plays some on the guitar and we see Roman Reigns backstage walking. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Reigns makes his way out. They go at it and brawl around ringside as Shane watches. Reigns takes control and warns Shane. Reigns brings it back in but Elias rocks him with a low blow kick that the referee doesn’t see. Reigns with a 2 count.

Elias launches Reigns into the corner and he hits the ring post, falling out to the floor. Elias follows and decks Reigns while he’s down. Elias stands tall as fans boo. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Reigns drops Elias with a big shot. Reigns with more shots in the corner as fans count along. Reigns drops Elias with a big boot. Reigns calls for the Superman Punch but Shane grabs his leg. Elias takes advantage and hits the jumping knee in the corner.

Reigns turns it around in the corner and rocks Elias again. Reigns with another big shot while Elias is on top. Elias slides out of a super Samoan Drop attempt. Elias turns that into a big sitdown powerbomb for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Reigns blocks a Drift Away and hits a big headbutt. Reigns fights Elias off but Elias lands another big knee. Reigns fires back with a Superman Punch. Reigns covers for the pin but Shane puts Elias’ boot on the bottom rope.

Reigns goes out and hits a Drive By on Shane. Elias takes advantage and beats Reigns around. Elias brings it back into the ring and hits the big flying elbow drop but Reigns kicks out at 2. The referee is distracted by Shane, allowing Elias to expose the turnbuckle. Shane brings Elias’ guitar over to the ring, again distracting the referee. Reigns blocks an attempt by Elias and hits the Spear. Reigns covers for the pin to win.

Winner: Roman Reigns

After the match, Shane immediately enters the ring and beats Reigns down. Reigns comes back and drops Shane with a Superman Punch. Reigns suddenly turn around to a big Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre. Fans boo as Drew gets down in Reigns’ face. Shane stands tall over Reigns and raises Drew’s arm as SmackDown goes off the air.

Shane McMahon is on the stage while Roman Reigns is in the ring. Shane goes on about controlling Reigns’ destiny and wants to show him what that is all about. The music hits and out comes Drew McIntyre. Drew stands next to Shane on the stage. Shane says Reigns’ challenge still isn’t happening tonight but he accepts it for Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia. They have more words as Drew stares Reigns down and his music starts up.

Sarah Schreiber tries to interview Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre backstage but The Miz appears, asking if Shane thinks they’re really done now. Drew interrupts and says Shane doesn’t think he’s done, they know he’s done with Miz. Drew says things have changed around here and Miz has a problem with both of them now. Miz says he will take care of Shane after he finishes with Drew. Miz tells Drew he will see him in the ring tonight. Miz walks off.

The Miz vs. Drew McIntyre

We go to the ring and out comes The Miz. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and we see a bunch of Superstars chasing WWE 24/7 Champion Robert Roode backstage. He ducks them and hurries away. We go back to the ring and The Miz waits as Drew McIntyre comes out with Shane McMahon.

Back and forth to start. McIntyre beats Miz down and works him over in the corner as Shane watches from ringside. Miz turns it around on the apron and works Drew over on the outside but they bring it back in and Drew turns it back around. Drew runs into a boot in the corner, and another shot. Drew catches a shot in the corner and launches Miz across the ring with a throw.

Drew keeps control with another big suplex for a 2 count. Drew with a big chop against the ropes now. Drew goes to the apron and tries to suplex Miz to the floor but Miz blocks and nails a kick. Miz goes for the sunset flip to the floor but Drew hangs on. Miz takes Drew’s knee out on the apron. Miz charges on the floor and runs into a back elbow. Drew drops Miz on top of the barrier, then knocks him off into the front row. Drew with a big suplex from the barrier to the floor. We go back to commercial with Drew in control.

Back from the break and Miz counters a big move from the top and powerbombs Drew to the mat. Miz keeps control and fights Drew back into the corner with punches and kicks. Miz keeps control and sends Drew into the ring post when he charges. Miz springboards in from the apron and drops Drew for a close 2 count. Miz with kicks to the chest while Drew is on his knees now. Drew catches a kick but Miz turns that into a hurricanrana takedown.

Drew blocks the Skull Crushing Finale. Drew with the Alabama Slam for a 2 count as Shane cheers him on. Drew misses in the corner again. Miz goes to work on Drew’s hurt leg again, bringing him down by his knee. Miz goes for the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. Drew pushes Miz into a cheap shot from Shane at ringside when the referee isn’t looking. Drew with a Spinebuster for a close 2 count. Drew waits for Miz to get up now. Miz dodges the Claymore Kick and applies the Figure Four now. Drew tries to chop his way out of the hold and Miz breaks it. Miz sends Drew out to the floor and he goes down. Miz chases Shane and he runs through the crowd. Drew tries to take advantage but Miz cuts him off. Miz sends Drew into the barrier again. Miz rolls Drew back in the ring. Shane comes from behind and drops Miz at ringside while the referee is checking on Drew. Shane rolls Miz back into the ring and Drew hits the Claymore for the pin to win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Shane takes the mic and says he has one last parting gift for Miz before he’s done with him. Shane orders Drew to drag Miz into the corner. Shane goes to the top for a Coast 2 Coast but the music hits and Roman Reigns runs down. Reigns hits the ring and Drew charges. Reigns ducks and hits a Superman Punch. Shane comes from behind but changes his mind when Reigns turns around. Shane runs away and joins Drew on the ramp as Reigns looks on. Shane raises Drew’s arm on the stage as Reigns and Miz look on from the ring.

Men’s MITB Ladder Match: Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor vs. Andrade vs. Randy Orton vs. Ali vs. ?

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event as Baron Corbin comes out first. Corbin makes Rome give him a better introduction. WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor is out next, followed by Ricochet. Andrade is out next with Zelina Vega by his side. She hypes him up and heads back to the back. Ali is out next, followed by Drew McIntyre. Randy Orton is out next. The bell rings and the match starts with just 7 Superstars, no replacement for Sami Zayn. They all go at it to start as we see the briefcase hanging high above the ring. Orton slams Ali on top of the announce table early on.

There’s chaos everywhere early on. Orton slams Balor on the announce table next. Ricochet gets slammed on top of the table by Orton next. Fans chant for Orton while he’s alone in the ring with a ladder. Orton stands the ladder up. Andrade springboards in and knocks the ladder over but Orton avoids it. Drew and Corbin bring ladders in the ring now. Drew gets sent back out. Ali drops Corbin on his face. Ali flies out and sends Drew into the barrier. Ricochet blocks Andrade and sends him to the floor. Ricochet and Ali take turns ripping each other off the ladder.

Ali and Ricochet finally meet at the top of the ladder but Corbin and Drew pull them off and beat them down. Corbin launches Ali on to a ladder in the corner. Ricochet also gets launched into a ladder. Orton catches Corbin coming in the ring with a draping DDT from the second rope. Orton goes for a RKO on Corbin but Corbin shoves him off into a Claymore Kick from Drew. Balor with shots to Corbin and Drew now. Corbin stomps a ladder onto Corbin. Balor looks to stand a ladder up but he slams it onto Drew instead. Balor climbs the ladder for the briefcase but Andrade brings a ladder in to ram into him, sending Balor off the other ladder. Ricochet boots Andrade from the corner but Andrade shoves him off the top, out to the floor.

Andrade climbs for the briefcase now. Balor climbs up and meets him. They trade shots up high. Andrade hits a sunset flip from the top of the ladder, through another ladder that was bridged from the top rope. They both crash land hard as a “holy shit!” chant breaks out.

Ali with a tornado DDT on Corbin and shots to others. Ali spikes Ricochet down onto the mat and he hits hard. Ali positions a ladder and climbs up for the briefcase but Andrade stops him. Andrade rocks Ali, leaving him hanging from the ladder. Andrade brings another ladder in and stands it up next to the ladder that Ali is hanging from. Andrade stomps on Ali while he’s upside down. Andrade climbs up. Ali pulls himself up and he also climbs for the case with Andrade. They trade shots up high. Ali hits a huge Spanish Fly from up top, driving Andrade down into the mat. Ali rolls to the floor in pain while a referee checks on Andrade on the apron.

Drew brings a ladder from under the ring and leans it on the announce table. Ali tries to stop him. Drew rocks Ali back down. Drew bridges a ladder from the apron to the announce table. Drew slaps Ali around and tries to put him on the ladder bridge but it backfires. Corbin comes over and chokeslams Ali through the Spanish announce table. Corbin smiles at Ali. Fans chant “you still suck!” at Corbin. Corbin turns on Drew and drops him. Corbin runs in to stop Balor from climbing the ladder. Corbin chokeslams Balor on the awkward edge of a ladder. Ricochet with a missile dropkick. Ricochet leaps out of the ring on Corbin but Corbin nails a big Deep Six to the floor. Drew with a big Claymore Kick to Corbin on the floor.

Balor climbs a ladder in the ring now. Drew comes in and rocks him to stop him. Drew rams a ladder into Balor in the corner. Drew with a big suplex to Balor on top of a ladder. Drew grabs Andrade and hits an Alabama Slam on top of Balor and the ladder. Drew pushes them off the ladder and stands it up under the briefcase. Ricochet comes flying in to take Drew out. Ricochet positions the ladder and climbs up but Drew grabs his leg and pulls him down. Drew manhandles Ricochet and tosses him out of the ring, through the ladder bridge to the announce table.

Drew climbs the ladder but Orton nails a big RKO outta nowhere to bring him down. Corbin sends Orton into the ring post and out of the ring. Corbin climbs up the ladder but Ali comes from behind, getting on Corbin’s back up high. Ali dumps Corbin over the top rope and hangs onto the apron. Ali climbs the ladder for the briefcase but the music interrupts and out comes Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman to a huge pop.

Lesnar enters the ring and shoves the ladder with Ali over. The crowd goes wild. Heyman barks orders at the apparent replacement for Sami Zayn. Lesnar stands a ladder up and climbs it. Lesnar stands up high on the ladder and yells out to the crowd. Lesnar unhooks the briefcase for the win.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

After the match, Lesnar stands up on the ladder and holds the briefcase as his music hits. The crowd is shocked. Bodies are down all over the outside of the ring. Lesnar looks down from the top of the ladder and smiles, laughing at everyone. The 2019 WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view goes off the air with Lesnar clutching the briefcase from the top of the ladder.
